It's easy (and free!) to send a picture message:

• Start a new message (same as starting a text message)
• There's an emoticon/camera icon to the left of the text field where you type your message

• Tap the emoticon/camera icon and you'll be given the option to either choose a picture from your Photos, or take a picture (if you have a camera on your device).

• You'll get a preview of your picture, and a "Use" button.  Tap the "Use" button and your message will appear to shrink down and attach itself to the "Send" bar.

• When you hit "Send" your picture and any text you've typed in will be sent to the recipient.

Few notes:

• Send to your friend's mobile number (just like sending a text).
• Your picture will come from your username@textfree.us address.
• Have friends send pictures to your username@textfree.us address.

As of August 2011, you can now send pictures from Textfree Web! If you aren't seeing the camera icon to the left of the text box, try quitting out of your browser, then reopening it and clearing the cache. Click here for instructions on how to clear your browser's cache.
