We call this feature a "Wallpaper".

Setting up a "Wallpaper" is free, but you'll need to receive texts or calls from 3 different numbers to unlock this feature.  Once it's unlocked, you'll be able to create a Wallpaper using a picture from your Photos, or taking a picture with your camera.  Set up a different background for each of your contacts, and/or a default Wallpaper for all contacts (scroll down for instructions).

To set a default background for all conversations:

1: Open the Textfree app and tap the "gears" icon to view the Options menu.
