Due to popular demand, we're going to have an option to remove ads in an upcoming release. Thanks for your feedback!

REMOVE ADS! I always click on them by accident and my iPod is super slow so it takes like 5 minutes to get back on Pinger!

It would be helpful to add the option to Hide Ads in this new version of PInger. I was accustomed to it with Textfree, and I truly find the ads at the bottom of the iPhone screen distracting. Textfree and presumably the new Pinger are superb and very useful apps. I am pleased to support the developers with an ad free version. Pending the inclusion of the adfree option, I'd rather stay with the older version (Textfree).

@PingerMars will our subscription from Textfree transfer over?

Can we still use our ad-free TextFree app until Pinger is ad-free, and why didn't the ad-free transfer? Also if I'm paying for ad-free, why am I still getting pop-ups? When I am trying to text or call someone, the last thing I want to see is an ad for a game or something that I would NEVER use!

I'm going to pass on the "Upgrade to Pinger" from Textfree for now.
I paid for Textfree without ads and will keep using it until my no ad time runs out. If at that time Pinger has the option for no ads I'll upgrade, if not then I'll just find someone else that does.

Well, I think if Pinger cannot remove the ads like every other App out there they should'nt say they are better than text free and now the box to type in is right on top of the ads so let's see often we click the ads instead of the box to enter our message... I say MOVE THE TEXT BOX to the top. Can I just keep my text free and not upgrade to this down-graded version??? I really loved my Text Free w/voice

@Vic - if you logged into Pinger with your Textfree account, your minutes should transfer automatically. If they didn't drop a line to support@pinger.com & let them know what happened. Our team will do their best to get you all of your hard earned minutes!

thank goodness for that! All of the promo for this new app says "upgrade" yet the phone minutes I bought don't transfer over and paying for no ads doesn't either. The way it's promoted vs the reality of switching over feels a bit like a scam. Whether that's intentional or not I cannot say, but it feels that way and I'm sure others will speak up about it too.
