Your phone number is like your username, but easier to remember!
Just like a username, it will show up when you text or call people on Pinger who don't already have you in their contacts.
Make sure you register a number that is unique to you!
Register a number that you do NOT share with other people in case they want to sign up for Pinger too!
Trying to call or text the phone of a contact who also registered their number with Pinger
If your friends on Pinger call or text your registered number, it goes to your app unless they specify that it should go to your native app. Click here for instructions.
To call or text a contact who isn't using Pinger
If you text a friend who isn't using Pinger, your texts will show up from your Pinger provided number. Not sure if you have a Pinger provided number? Click here.
If you use your iPhone number to register...
Rest assured that we WON'T use your cellular plan's minutes or texts. Everything sent & received in the Pinger app is totally free. Pinger just uses data (either your data plan or WiFi depending on what you are using).
You can't use a Textfree number to register...
But you can log in with your Textfree username and password!
If you have more questions, or want to un-register your number, click here to submit a request for help.
