Textfree doesn't have a "search" function, so people won't be able to search for you in the app by your name. Only friends who have your number saved in their contacts will see your name.
If you call or text a someone who has Textfree, but they don't have your contact information saved on their device, your username or first and last name will appear in the call or text notification only. In the conversation view in the Textfree app, it will show the number you registered with.
