Minimum Phone OS and Version Requirements

Please refer to the table below for the minimum OS, version and device requirements for Pinger/TextFree to work properly on your device.

Tip: To ensure you are running the most recent app store version, please download/update Pinger regularly from the app store. We release new versions of the app every 2 weeks or so. We recommend enabling automatic updates (instructions for iOS and Android)

*Android Users: 

• TextFree does not support OS versions below 9. While you may still be able to use the app, you will no longer be able to install any new versions of the app from the Google Play Store, which often contain bug fixes or updates to the existing features or functionality.
• Recommended: Upgrade your device's OS to 9 and above to receive any future updates to TextFree.
• If your device cannot be upgraded to Android OS 9, unfortunately you will be unable to install TextFree on that device (e.g. Blackberry devices).

*iOS Users:

• TextFree does not support iOS versions below 16. To use TextFree, you must have iOS 16 on your iPhone.
