Are you wondering about the difference between Pinger and TextFree in the app store? We will get into the details, but first, here's a bit of background on our company.
Our background:
Pinger is an app developer that was founded in 2005 in efforts to make it simple for people to communicate. Today, our team continues to grow and build products our customers love.
As we grew, we then created different versions of TextFree that were for texting only or ones that supported texting and calling.
As the years went by, we morphed into the company we are today; which includes our apps Index, Sideline, TextFree, and Pinger. Pinger and TextFree apps essentially function the same, just with different names. Since people were using each of them equally, we decided to just keep them both!
Which app should I download?
The answer is that it is completely up to you! Either the Pinger app or the TextFree app will perform the same functions.
The Pinger app generally gets quicker updates which allow us to monitor the performance and quality of the release before releasing the new versions to TextFree (i.e. if you are a person that likes to be the first to get new features and/or updates, Pinger may be a good option for you)
Can I download and use both?
Yes, both can be downloaded, both use the same login credentials, and both have access to TextFree Web Messaging.
