How it works
TextFree Web allows you to send and receive texts, pictures, & video messages from a desktop or laptop for free. You can send texts to other TextFree users or regular mobile numbers.
Please Note:
- Voice calls are not supported on TextFree Web.
- If you click "Keep me logged in" on TextFree Web, your account will stay active for 7 days (meaning you will not have to re-enter the password in that time).
- Contacts from mobile do not automatically sync to TextFree Web (unless you have Google Contacts sync enabled in Web)
Logging in
We've updated how you log in to TextFree Web. Instead of signing in with Apple or email directly on the website, you’ll now use a QR code and your mobile app to verify your login.
Since Pinger doesn't support QR codes, you'll need to download the TextFree app to use TextFree Web. To log in, enter your Pinger credentials in the TextFree mobile app and follow the steps below.
How to log in with a QR code:
Once you've downloaded TextFree for mobile and used your Pinger login credentials to log into the app:
- On your computer, go to https://messages.textfree.us/login. You’ll see a unique QR code on the login screen.
- Unlock your mobile device & ensure you’re currently logged into the TextFree app.
- Open your camera app.
- Point your camera at the QR code, tap the link when it pops up.
- Select “OK” on your in-app pop-up, and your webpage should refresh & log you in.
