Note: If you are LOGGED OUT of your account and forgot your password, view instructions in the What can I do if I forgot my login credentials? article to RESET your password. This article applies to changing your password via Account Settings while you are currently logged into your account.
If you need to proactively change your password while logged into your Pinger account, you can do so from either:
- Pinger mobile
- TextFree Web
Tip: Check out these tips from the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on how to create a strong password and keep it secure. We also recommend using a "password manager" to save passwords and minimize the chance of forgetting them.
Password Requirements
New passwords must contain ALL of the following:
- Minimum of 12 characters.
- At least 1 upper case letter.
- At least 1 lower case letter.
- At least 1 special character. (such as !?*&%@)
- At least 1 number.
Note: Passwords cannot contain spaces. You'll see an "Invalid Password" error message if they do.
Important: You must create a password that is not considered "common" or is easily guessed. If your password does not meet ALL of the requirements stated above, you will receive an error message and won't be able to update your password until each requirement is met.
Tip: If you worry about forgetting your password in the future, iPhone users can enable Face ID for logging into Pinger. See instructions HERE.
